Igor Kojić (Serbian Cyrillic: Игор Којић ; born 30 July 1987) is a Serbian football player last playing for Dinamo Bucharest in the Serbian SuperLiga. Considered to be one of the top prospects in Serbia, Kojic is a remarkable talent. An excellent goalkeeper he has great composure and stays calm when his area is under pressure. He display’s good awareness and reactions when the goal area is under threat or a shot has been made. His ability to stop shots coming from any angle leave his opposition amazed at how he can react so quickly. Igor’s ability to play as a sweeper helps with his communication to his defence. His distribution from kicks as well as short passes shows he has good knowledge of his surroundings. An assertive goalkeeper he displays all the characteristics to become a world class goalkeeper. A hard working and determined goalkeeper he is a great character to have in his team.

Club career

Igor started playing footbal in FK Crvena Zvezda where he spent the majority of his youth career. At 17, Igor moved to FK Dinamo Pančevo that at the time played in Serbian 3rd division. Starting to play for a senior team when he was only 17 years old turned out to be a good move. He played in 16 games and conceded only 6 goals. At the age of 18 he moved to FK Obilić (Serbian Superliga) and he soon played as a starter at the highest level in Serbia. At the end of the season he moved to FK Rad where he played throughout the first part of the season.At the age of 20 he moved to Hajduk Beograd where he played 28 games and score one time and on the April 2009. he moved to FC Dinamo Bucureşti.At January 2010 he sing a contract for Dinamo Bucharest.After season in FC Dinamo Bucureşti he signed a contract for Cypriot 1st division club (A Katigoria) Doxa Katokopias F.C.

Story

Playing for Hajduk Beograd, Season 08/09, Igor advanced to the last 16 in the Serbian National Cup. In the round of 16 in the National Cup FK Hajduk played FC Vojvodina, which was at the time ranked 2nd in the Serbian 1st league, and knocked them out reaching the last 8 in the National Cup which records for the best result in teams history. In this historic game, Igor not only had a great overall game but he saved 4 penalty kicks and scored the winning goal in the penalty shootout thus setting a unique European record as the only goalkeeper who saved 4 penalties in one game and later on scored the winning goal.
